OWINGS MILLS -- Ravens announced several roster moves.

On Tuesday Ravens signed wide receiver De'Anthony Thomas to the 53-man roster and waived cornerback Maurice Canady.

Thomas, the former fourth round pick in the 2014 draft was released by the Chiefs on October 22.  He only played in six games with the Chiefs this season averaging 4.2 yards per punt return and 22.1 yards per kick return.  Corner back Cyrus Jones muffed a punt against the Patriots on Sunday that former Raven, Justin Bethel, recovered to put the Patriots deep in Baltimore territory.   Wide receiver Chris Moore also dropped the kickoff return which was recovered by linebacker Anthony Levine.

"We played against him earlier when he was with the Chiefs.  He's a wide receiver.  He's a return man," John Harbaugh said on Wednesday.  "He also plays special teams.  So, we anticipate him having a lot of possibilities for roles on our team, and we'll see how it shakes out."

Cornerback Maurice Canady was inactive on Sunday.  He was listed on the injury report as 'limited' with a thigh injury.  He didn't participate that week in practice because of a thigh injury.  He started during Week 5 in the game against the Steelers. He led the team in tackles and played 53-of-58 snaps on defense.  Canady also took 37-of-59 snaps in the game against the Bengals during Week 6.

Baltimore also signed defensive end Michael Onuoha to the practice squad.  He stayed with the Ravens until he injured his wrist in the preseason game against Jacksonville.  Onuoha played five snaps on defense and eight on special teams in the game against the Jaguars.  He injured his wrist in that game and reached an injury settlement with the Ravens.  The Miami Dolphins also announced that they have signed running back De'Lance Turner off of the Ravens practice squad on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, Ravens announced that they signed running back Byron Marshall to the practice squad.  Marshall was most recently on the Buffalo Bills practice squad but was released on October 8.
