Joint practice between the Ravens and Rams wasn’t the only major storyline in Baltimore on Monday. After being activated from the PUP list on Saturday, Marshal Yanda made his official return to practice for the first time this offseason.

The Ravens’ social media staff caught the moment as Yanda walked out onto the practice field with teammate Maxx Williams.

The Ravens are clearly easing the veteran back into training camp.

“He’s going to work through individual [drills>, and then he’ll expand into group,” said John Harbaugh on Sunday. Then he’ll expand into team stuff, then he’ll expand into game stuff. That will be about a two-week process, probably.”

Yanda isn’t expected to play in the team’s preseason game on Thursday night, but that's no surprise. For a player of his caliber, there’s no need to risk further injury. He’ll be expected to lead an offensive line that’s entering the season with uncertainty.

Harbaugh said Yanda is “right on schedule” and it’s promising to see No. 73 back on the field.
