VIDEO: Joe Flacco Hurls Deep Pass to Chris Moore in Practice

There are few, if any, quarterbacks who can hurl passes like Joe Flacco. He’s got one of the strongest arms in the NFL, one of the big reasons why he was a first-round pick out of Delaware in 2008.

Now entering his 11th year in the league, Flacco can still throw with the best of them.

He showed off one of his best throws yesterday in practice, connecting with receiver Chris Moore on a 70-yard bomb.

By my count, the pass hangs in the air for almost half of the 30-second video. And it’s one thing to throw a pass that far but the placement is just as important. Even a talented cornerback like Jimmy Smith was a step behind Moore.

These are the plays the Ravens desperately missed last offseason. Ryan Mallett and Josh Woodrum didn’t provide the same kind of arm talent but it's been a completely different story one year later with Flacco fully healthy. He's impressing in training camp and the preseason so far.

The long ball is one of Flacco’s strengths and with speed threats like Moore and John Brown running the seams, this is expected to be the first of many.
