The Ravens reportedly have a deal in place to send Joe Flacco to the Broncos in exchange for a mid-round draft pick. The deal cannot become official until the start of the new league year on March 13th and the move clears $10.5 million in cap space for the Ravens. NFL Insider Jason La Canfora joined the Scott & Jeremy Show today to share his insight on the deal.

Jason said he wasn't quite sure if Flacco is an upgrade over Case Keenum but he did mention that he thinks Joe will serve as a stop gap for Denver this year and he thinks they will end up drafting a quarterback in 2019.

He pointed out John Elway's failure to find a legitimate starting quarterback since Peyton Manning retired and he even hinted that the Broncos may have been bidding against themselves for Flacco's services. With the Ravens clearing $10.5 million in cap space, Jason commented on what the Ravens could possibly do with that extra cash and he also addressed the drama in the AFC North with the Browns signing Kareem Hunt and Antonio Brown requesting a trade out of Pittsburgh.
