Run with Lamar Jackson

Since making his first start two weeks ago against the Browns, quarterback Lamar Jackson has led the Ravens to a 2-0 record. Although both wins came against the Bengals and Raiders, the Ravens have a certain swag about them.

More importantly, they have a clear identity on offense: run the football. In the win against Cincinnati, Jackson, Gus Edwards and the Ravens accumulated 267 rushing yards. That is more rushing yards than the previous three games combined (239).

The run game produced another impressive performance against the Raiders, gaining 242 rushing yards.

One thing is clear with offensive coordinator Marty Morhinweg.

Keep running the football.

Over the past two weeks, the Ravens have ran the ball 96 times.

The game against Cincinnati proved to be the perfect time to start Jackson. The Ravens have won back-to-back games against the Bengals (32nd total defense) and Oakland (30th ranked defense) and the news continues to get better with the next opponent.

The Atlanta Falcons have the 29th worst defense in the NFL and allow 123.7 rushing yards per game.

Jackson should be the solution in maintaining ball control and leading to another Ravens victory.
