Ravens Must Defend Home Turf

At the beginning of the Joe Flacco/John Harbaugh era, the Ravens were nearly unbeatable at M&T Bank Stadium.  Baltimore went 47-11, including playoffs, from 2008 through 2014.  The Ravens also had a 15 game winning streak at home that spanned parts of three different seasons.

Baltimore held no worse than a 6-2 record during any of those seasons at M&T.  The team has not been able to match that mark in recent years.

The 2015 season marked the first time in franchise history that the team finished with a losing record at home after going 3-5.  The Ravens also lost to the Bengals in a must-win game in Week 17 last year to have their record fall to 5-3 in games played at Baltimore.

Currently, Baltimore has dropped two straight games and three of their last five at M&T Bank Stadium.  Since 2015, the Ravens are 16-12 at home, which has played a big role in missing the playoffs in each season during this span.

Road games have always been a struggle for the Ravens as they have had only two seasons since 2008 in which they finished with a winning record away from home with their most recent happening in 2010.  Since 2015, Baltimore is 10-18 in away games.

A goal for each team every season is to at least split your road games and to win six of your home games to get to 10 wins.  The Ravens haven't achieved that formula since 2014, which happens to be their last year in the postseason.  This year's team sits at 4-5 and will  struggle to accomplish that goal again.
