Questions Mount Ahead of Ravens Game vs. Bengals

In a game that could swing the Ravens’ season one way or the other, there are huge question to still be answered before Sunday’s game against the Bengals.

After a bye week and no practice, the Ravens announced quarterback Joe Flacco injured his hip in the loss to Pittsburgh before the bye. The uncertainty of Flacco’s availability has many, including myself, wondering what’s next?

Would Lamar Jackson, who is the future quarterback of the team yet only a rookie, be tossed into the fire against a division rival? Or would the Ravens go with Robert Griffin III, to avoid media outcry and go with an experienced backup?

These questions were left unanswered by Coach John Harbaugh, whose job security is clearly reeling.

Jackson, the 1st round selection for Baltimore, hasn’t made an NFL start yet but has thrown his first NFL touchdown.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis answered questions about who Cincinnati is planning for ahead of Sunday.

Clearly the lack of clarity has many frustrated but perhaps Harbaugh is trolling Lewis and the Bengals, trying to gain an edge after dropping their first meeting 34-23.

Additionally, Ravens killer AJ Green is also unlikely to play, providing a good sign for Baltimore. Green caught five catches for 69 yards, including three touchdowns in their Week 2 win.
