Report: RGIII Not Expected to Play Against Redskins

August 30, 2018 - 6:42 pm

UPDATE: Griffin is dressed but Lamar Jackson has started the game for the Ravens

105.7 the Fan is hearing that Robert Griffin III will not play tonight against the Washington Redskins and will make the Baltimore Ravens’ roster.

Griffin signed a one-year, 1.1 million contract with the Ravens in early April after sitting out the entire 2017 season. The veteran quarterback has been solid through four preseason games, going 27-of-41 with 243 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

By 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, all 32 NFL teams are required to cut their rosters to 53 players. If Griffin does in-fact make the roster, it will be the first time since 2009 that the Ravens have taken three quarterbacks.
