It’s been a long time coming but former Oriole Adam Jones has reportedly found his way back onto an MLB team.

Jones is set to sign with the Arizona Diamondbacks pending a physical.

It’s reportedly a 1-year deal with $3 million guaranteed.

Jones was a staple in the Orioles franchise, playing 11 seasons in Baltimore. During that time, he batted .279 and racked up 263 home runs along with 866 RBIs. He became a staple in center field for the Orioles and undoubtedly a fan favorite.

Jones’ contract expired at the end of last season and plenty of talks surrounded bringing back the 33-year-old. But with turnover within the organization and a rebuild imminent, the Orioles seemed to focus on allowing younger prospects to gain valuable experience.

The focus for Jones now becomes trying to win a championship. He joins a Diamondbacks team that missed the postseason last year with an 82-80 record but are trending in the right direction following a Wild Card berth in 2017.

Jones will reunite with former teammate Caleb Joseph and Orioles fans wish him nothing but the best going forward.
