The Ravens have been red hot since starting Lamar Jackson in early November. After defeating the Los Angeles Chargers, the Ravens have now won five of their past six games.

The victory Saturday over the Chargers (11-4) out two things on display. Jackson showed he could make big time throws when the Ravens needed them. This 68 yard catch and run by Mark Andrews proved that.

But this article is more about the Ravens defense, which was under primetime lights Saturday night.

The defense smothered Los Angeles from the opening play, an interception by Brandon Carr. Baltimore held Phillip Rivers to just 181 yards, on his home field.

The Ravens intercepted Rivers twice, including one by Marlon Humphrey.

They also forced two fumbles. The run defense proved to be just as impressive, holding Melvin Gordon to 41 yards on 12 carries.
