When it comes to dirty plays, Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is the “King”. Throughout his career, Burfict has made his name (and lost thousands of dollars) in the process.

After the Ravens 24-21 victory over the division rivals, guard Marshal Yanda claimed to have spit on the linebacker. With the accusation, video emerged showing Yanda in fact spitting in the direction of Burfict.

During the play, Yanda is seen playing after the whistle with Bengals defensive tackle Andrew Billings. The spit transpired after, while Burfict laid on the ground. Whether or not the spit landed on Burfict is up for debate, though the ill-intent is clear.

There have been multiple occurrences of players spitting on opponents in the past, including Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens spitting on cornerback Deangelo Hall. The league fined Owens $35,000.

Even though the spit came against Burfict, the league won’t look at the victim in this case. Expect a fine to come for Yanda
