The Ravens have locked up All-Pro guard Marshal Yanda until the 2020 season. according to ESPN.

Rumors circulated that Yanda was considering retirement after his 12th year in the league.

Yanda has started 16 games in six seperate season, but an ankle injury that sidelined him in 2017 may have led to second thoughts on his future in the NFL.

Entering his 13th season, Yanda was set to hit free agency after the season. The extension confirms that he'll be in Baltimore for two more seasons and will reevaluate his career after the 2020 season.

Yanda has been a key member along the offensive line, as he has secured First-Team All-Pro honors twice, seven Pro Bowl appearances, and a Super Bowl championship in 2012.

Yanda, 34, started all 16 games last season capturing his 7th Pro Bowl selection. Coming off an ankle injury a season prior, Yanda didn't miss a beat and looked just like his Pro Bowl self.

Baltimore will need to deepen their offensive line in this year's NFL Draft. That said,  the pressure surely lightened with the extra year assurance of Yanda, one of the greatest linemen in Ravens history.
