What a day for Ravens football!

Joe Flacco made his season debut, playing one series topped off with a touchdown. He orchestrated a 10-play, 4:46 minute drive and connected with fullback Patrick Ricard on a six yard reception to put the Ravens up 7-0.

Flacco finished the night with five completions for 72 yards along with the Ricard score.

Lamar Jackson entered the game for Flacco, as Robert Griffin III received third-team reps. Jackson, like Flacco, coordinated a scoring drive. On just five plays, Jackson drove the Ravens 73 yards and capped it off with a dazzling nine-yard rushing touchdown.

Talk about making defenders miss. When Jackson runs, no one (or their ankles) is safe.

Jackson finished the game completing seven of 18 passes for 119 yards, along with 21 rushing yards on five carries.

After starting the Hall of Fame game, Griffin III got the nod after Jackson. Albeit against the third string, Griffin III had an impressive showing. He completed five of his seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.

RG3’s touchdown came late in the 4th quarter to none other than Breshard Perriman. The former first-round pick played a terrific game as he fights to stay on the roster. Along with the touchdown, Perriman finished with three catches for a game-high 71 yards.

For the second straight game, Gus Edwards impressed. He ran for 58 yards on 12 carries, good for nearly five yards per carry.

Justin Tucker, who always seems virtually automatic, connected on two field goals to push the Ravens lead to 20-0. Kaare Vedvik added a 44-yard field goal to go into halftime with a 23-0 lead.

Cornerback Maurice Canady continued his hot play with an interception off Rams quarterback Sean Mannion.

Should we come to terms that Terrell Suggs is not slowing down any time soon? Suggs suited up and played in the first quarter, recording a sack. Suggs is entering his 16th season in the league.

Tim Williams, Matthew Judon, and Zach Sieler recorded a sack in the win as Baltimore displayed a defensive bashing of the Rams. The strong showing provided all the momentum the Ravens needed en route to a 33-7 victory.

Next up for the Ravens (2-0) are the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, August 20th.
