The Orioles snapped their four-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the Mariners in Seattle Tuesday night.

It took awhile for the O’s bats to come alive, as it was 1-0 going into the 7th. Robinson Cano smacked a solo homerun in the first inning.

Orioles starter Alex Cobb pitched a solid outing, going six innings and allowing just the homerun.

In the top of the 7th, Renato Nunez matched Cano with a solo homerun of his own. The homer not only prevented Cobb from taking another loss, but gave Baltimore the spark they needed.

A few batters later Johnathan Villar hit the go-ahead RBI single, making the score 2-1. Joey Rickard hit a sacrifice fly, which scored Breyvic Valera. Trey Mancini roped an RBI double, pushing the lead to 4-1.

After a fielding error allowed the Mariners to get within a run, Chris Davis added an insurance run with an RBI single.

Cobb (5-15) pitched well enough for the win as Mychal Givens notched his sixth save in the 5-3 victory.

The Orioles have the final game Wednesday night in Seattle before heading to Tampa Bay for a three-game set.
