The Orioles have released outfielder Craig Gentry Wednesday evening to make room for infielder Steve Wilkerson.

Previously, the O's designated him for assignment and has made mutiple stints in Baltimore.

Gentry played in 68 games this season posting a .269 batting average, along with 12 stolen bases. His play off the bench was serviceable, though with the Orioles making moves to their 40-man roster the decision was made.

As stated earlier, the O’s released Gentry to make room for Steve Wilkerson. The 26-year old Wilkerson played his 2018 season in Triple-A, batting .270. Baltimore drafted him in the eighth-round in the 2014 draft.
