Dylan Bundy received his 11th loss of the season as the O’s fell to the Mets 16-5 Wednesday night.

Bundy pitched 5.1 innings, in which he allowed seven runs on 11 hits.

The Mets started with a sacrifice fly by Wilmer Flores followed by an RBI single from Todd Frazier.

Adam Jones cut the deficit in half with an RBI single in the bottom of the 1st inning.

In the 4th inning, Bundy surrendered an RBI single to Jose Bautista along with a RBI double to Brandon Nimmo.

Frazier hit a solo homerun the following inning to push the lead to 5-1.

The 6th inning proved dreadful, as Nimmo roped a two-run triple to bounce Bundy from the game.

Kevin Plawecki hit a grand slam to blow the game out of reach, as the Mets ended the inning up 14-1.

The Orioles added some runs with an RBI single in the 7th by Mark Trumbo along with an RBI double by Austin Wynns in the 8th. Jonathan Villar hit a two-run homerun, which was matched the following inning by Wilmer Flores.

After the 16-5 loss the Orioles’ record has fallen to 36-85, nearly 50 games below .500. The fall seems to only get steeper as the O’s head to Cleveland to take on the AL Central leading Indians Friday.
