The Orioles lost a 9-0 shutout against the Yankees Tuesday night. The Yankees jumped on Dylan Bundy early, as Greg Bird’s grand slam set the tempo for New York. Austin Romine and Tyler Wade added solo homeruns in the blowout victory.

The O’s should just be happy that the series with New York is over. It’s never fun ending a series on a shutout loss.

After splitting the four-game series with the Yankees, the Orioles have a one-game series to make up.

The game is a makeup after a rainout on May 17th. The Phillies (51-40) have been red hot, winning 10 of their last 14 games. Hey are currently tied for 1st place in the NL East and a game against Baltimore is one they clearly have checked off as a win.

After facing a team (New York) who's in the Manny Machado sweepstakes, the Phillies are another opponent intrigued by the Orioles shortstop.

Philadelphia has also been linked to another Oriole before the July 31 deadline.

The O’s will send Kevin Gausman to the mound, who has pitched solid in his latest outings.

They will be up against Phillies pitcher Nick Pivetta, who is just 5-7 on the season with a 4.62 ERA.

The game against the Phillies will start at 6:05 pm in Baltimore.
