After an absolute beat down in the first game of the series, the Orioles won the next two games to take out the Royals.

The O’s defeated Kansas City 11-6 Thursday night in Baltimore.

The game started off rough as Chris Tillman continues to struggle. He surrendered a grand slam to Salvador Perez, falling in a 4-0 hole in the 1st inning.

The Orioles bats are finally coming around as an RBI double by Adam Jones. Manny Machado follow Jones up with a two-run homerun to cut the lead to 4-3.

After some solid run support, Tillman gave it right back up allowing a two-run single to Jorge Soler to expand the Royals’ lead to 6-3.

Baltimore continued to fight back as in the bottom of the third inning, Adam Jones pulled a two-run homerun to make the score 6-5.

The O’s would go on to score in each of the next three innings, as Chance Sisco’s two-run double gave Baltimore the lead 7-6 in the fourth inning. After, Trey Mancini connected on a two-run homer to extend the lead to 9-6.

After scores in the fifth and sixth inning, respectively, the O’s would hold on to win 11-6. Even though Tillman continues to struggle, the O’s bats are finding their form as they combined for 23 hits over the last two wins.
