The duo help from both Jimmy Yacabonis and Mike Wright Jr. led to a 2-1 victory over Toronto Wednesday night in Baltimore.

Yacabonis went four innings, surrendering just two hits as well as four strikeouts. Wright Jr. came on in relief and recorded the win.

Rookie DJ Stewart provided the pop Baltimore needed with his first career home run, a solo homer to gain a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning.

Cedric Mullins added an insurance run in the 7th, with an RBI single which scored Stewart.

Blue Jays Billy McKinney provided a scare in the 8th, as he put Toronto on the board with a solo homerun of his own. Mychal Givens came on and finished off the game, recording his 8th save of the season.

Their season series with the Blue Jays is finally over. Nearly a fifth of the Blue Jays wins this season have come against the O’s. After going just 5-14 in head-to-head matchups, the Orioles can move on.

Unfortunately the O’s have to move on and host the Yankees (93-58) starting Friday. The next three series for Baltimore come against the American League elite. Three-game sets against the Yankees and Red Sox, followed by a four-game set against the Astros to end the season.
