Less than a week ago, Blue Jays pitcher Thomas Pannone brought a no-hitter into the 7th inning. The outcome was much different Tuesday night, as the O’s rocked Pannone en route to a 12-5 victory.

The O’s pounced on Pannone, scoring seven runs on nine hits. RBI singles by both Chris Davis and Adam Jones gave the Orioles a 2-0 lead early. Tim Beckham followed with a three-run homerun n the 3rd inning to extend the lead to 5-0.

Blue Jays Kevin Pillar cut the deficit to 5-1 after an RBI single in the 4th inning. In the bottom half, Craig Gentry ripped a two-run homer to end Pannone’s night with just one out in the 4th inning.

After a Justin Smoak two-run homerun, the O’s bounced back two RBI singles by Jonathan Villar and Gentry respectively.

Adam Jones collected four hits in the victory.

Although it was Josh Rogers first pro start for the O’s, he delivered a solid performance despite the Smoak homer. He went five innings and struck out two batters. The O’s offense allowed Rogers to get the win, as the bullpen finished the game with just two runs allowed.

Baltimore has one more game against the Blue Jays before heading to Kansas City for a three-game set.
