Although the long season is finally reaching its end, Orioles utility star Trey Mancini has been a mainstay.

Entering Tuesday the Orioles have compiled a 51-106 record, good for second-worst in the MLB.

Regardless of wins and losses, Mancini has impressed all season with a club-leading 34 homers. Additionally, Mancini has batted a consistent .286 batting average and leads the team in RBI, on-base percentage, and slugging.

On Monday, the league announced Mancini as the AL Player of the Week.

For the week, Mancini slashed an incredible .462/.484/.846 line. He has also racked up two home runs and four doubles in just 26 at-bats.

This week’s Player of the Week honors marks the first time Mancini has won in his career.

Brighter days are ahead for Baltimore but as for brightspots, the O’s clearly have one in Trey Mancini.
