The Baltimore Ravens have placed safety Brynden Trawick on injured reserve. The move was announced on Thursday.

Trawick signed with the Ravens in August and made the roster primarily as a special teams contributor. He played 72% of the team's special teams snaps in their Week 1 win against the Miami Dolphins before suffering an elbow injury against the Cardinals. It's a loss on the special teams front for a team that prides themselves in that area.

Because of Trawick's injury designation, the Ravens now have an open spot on their 53-man roster they will have to fill.

Matt Skura Misses Practice Thursday

Along with Trawick's injury, another notable name popped up on the injury report. Center Matt Skura missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury.

Skura has started every game at center this season. He started all 16 games for the Ravens in 2018, earning the highest performance-based pay of any player in the NFL. His absence on Sunday would be a significant loss for the offensive line. It could mean Bradley Bozeman shifts over to center from left guard, or undrafted rookie Patrick Mekari makes the first start of his career.

Whoever lines up there will face some of the league's top interior defensive lineman in Stephon Tuitt and Cameron Heyward.
