More good news is on the way for Baltimore.

After acquiring corner back Marcus Peters from the Rams, the Ravens have another update towards their secondary.

Corner back Jimmy Smith participated in individual drills Wednesday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Smith has been nursing a sprained MCL that occurred in the season opener in Miami.

Clarity on Smith's situation is encouraging and the news will soon see Smith back on the field, as well as the Ravens displaying one of the league’s best secondaries.

Although Smith returning this Sunday against the Seahawks is unlikely, a possible return for a matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots seems reasonable.

Smith can use the rest of this week as well as the bye week to recover fully and where better to have a healthy defense then against New England.

The Ravens secondary will soon possess a healthy Smith to pair with Peters, Marlon Humphrey, Brandon Carr, and Earl Thomas.

As the Ravens hold a two-game lead in the AFC North, getting healthy is added ammunition moving forward.
