For all you NFL fashion experts, we've got a jersey swap! The Ravens announced early today that cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Brandon Carr are swapping numbers.

Peters will take No. 24 and Carr will take No. 39.

It's insigficant to their play on the field, but different jersey numbers hold certain meanings for players. For Carr, No. 39 was the number he wore to start his career. Since then he's started in 182 consecutive games over the course of 12 seasons.

Peters wore No. 22 with the Chiefs and Rams, but didn't have that option coming to Baltimore with Jimmy Smith already holding those honors. So Peters goes from No. 30 to No. 24 and said he'd be helping out Carr's foundation because of it.

Carr has been active in community and charitable work off the field and is a strong frontrunner for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. It's great to see two players turn a jersey swap into a beneficial donation.

But while the swap is fun news, the bigger news will surround the play of the cornerbacks on Sunday. Peters is expected to take the field on Sunday against the Seahawks after joining the team on Wednesday. It's a short turnaround, but the Ravens will need his contributions against one of the league's top quarterbacks in Russell Willson.

We'll hope to see some big plays from No. 24.
