Marquise Brown Nearing Preseason Debut

Since late April, the debut of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has been on the minds of Ravens fans.

With an explosive offense built around speed, the Ravens selected Brown to be the number one receiver for quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Brown’s production at Oklahoma, along with his high upside, garnered a first-round pick even with a foot injury. Brown has took most of the summer to heal from a lisfranc injury he sustained during a game with Oklahoma.

The Ravens have eased Brown along during training camp and has been working out with the team full-speed for nearly two weeks.

The latest development of Brown participating in joint practices is surely encouraging and ideal with the regular season less than 20 days away.

Head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media Monday, as he referred to Bown's day of work as "basically practice for the first time, in an aggressive setting."

Unlike his cousin Antonio, Marquise appears to showcase his talents in the preseason. His work ethic and talent alone has received praise from the coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

For football fans, and Baltimore fans in particular, Brown’s potential debut this Thursday will be all the more reason to watch the Ravens in preseason. The sooner Brown can get situated to the pros, the better the Ravens offense will be in 2019.

Keep up with the Fan for the latest updates on Brown’s status for Thursday as well as additional Ravens coverage.
