Maryland guard Kevin Huerter is foregoing his final two years at Maryland and declaring for the NBA Draft. Huerter has not hired an agent and appears to be going without an agent. The 6’7 guard had a phenomenal sophomore year, averaging 14.8 points, five rebounds, while shooting 50.3% from the field.

His three-point shooting was essential to the Terrapin’s success as he connected on 73 threes, tied for fifth most in a season by a Terrapin. His outside shooting threat will be complimentary to the NBA, as teams are shooting threes more than ever and are in need of big guards.

Huerter fits the mold and looks to make his way to a selection when the NBA Draft occurs in June. It will be interesting to see how the next few months unfold, as critics have stated that Huerter's decision relies heavily on a promised draft selection in 2018.
