After an injury-plagued 2017 season, the Baltimore Ravens have been fortunate to avoid any major injuries so far this offseason.

They did, however, get a scare when left Ronnie Stanley walked off the field gingerly following an extra point in the first quarter against the Colts.

Stanley headed to the locker room with athletic training staff according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec and came back on the sidelines with his right knee wrapped.

John Harbaugh later told reporters after the game that Stanley is dealing with a knee strain.

It’s a major sigh of relief for arguably the most important offensive lineman behind Marshal Yanda. Stanley has commanded the left tackle position for the last two seasons and is crucial to keeping Joe Flacco upright in the pocket. A major injury would have been devastating just weeks before the regular season.

Stanley has dealt with a few injuries in his young career but only missed one game last season. If the diagnosis holds true, it’s highly unlikely he’ll play the final two games of the preseason.

There’s no need to risk further injury at this point.
