Ravens legend Jamal Lewis spoke about the Ravens in a video interview with TMZ and clearly is big on rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. Although Jackson is currently third on the depth chart, Lewis claims he’s the “future of the Ravens.”

Lewis doubled down on his claim, stating that Jackson is the “future of offenses period”.

The former Pro Bowler credits some of his own success to Priest Holmes. Holmes was the starting running back in Baltimore before Lewis was drafted in 2000. Lewis learned a lot from him in his first season, as the Ravens went on to win the Super Bowl.

Lewis alluded to Jackson learning from both Joe Flacco and Robert Griffin III, which surely is for the best this early in Jackson’s career.

Plenty of veteran NFL players have come out and given Jackson some love.

With the Ravens 1-1 on the young season, the starting job is secure for Flacco. However more performances like the one against Cincinnati could put the pressure on Baltimore to look for a change.
