Defensive star Gerald McCoy met with the Carolina Panthers Friday morning.

McCoy, 31, has previously met with the Ravens as well as the Cleveland Browns. These three destinations are McCoy’s final choices, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The former 3rd overall pick played nine seasons with the Buccaneers, earning six Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro honors. With his meeting today with another NFC South team, McCoy may find himself lining up against his former team twice a year.

The Panthers have made multiple moves to create cap space in order to pay McCoy. Former Ravens receiver Torrey Smith took a $2 million pay cut to help the Panthers pursuit. Additionally, the Panthers will have an extra $7.5 million Sunday due to the Matt Kalil cut.

The financial moves by Carolina did the Ravens no favors. Of course Baltimore would love to bring in McCoy to help along the defensive front.

Head coach John Harbaugh spoke about McCoy’s impact both on and off the field.

In concluding his pitch, Harbaugh stated that “Before he (McCoy) left, I said, ‘You haven’t been here yet but to my mind, you’re a Raven. You’ve always been a Raven.”

McCoy is expected to take the weekend to make his decision and choose the next stop on his football journey. Hopefully, all roads lead to Baltimore.
