The first half of the 2019 season has been rough for the Baltimore Orioles, but if there’s any indication of the future, it was on display Sunday during the MLB Futures Game.

Both Grayson Rodriguez and DL Hall pitches scoreless innings.

Rodriguez has been extremely impressive with Delmarva this season, posting a 7-2 record and 2.32 ERA.

Hall has posted a 2-3 record with Frederick this season with a 3.86 ERA after an impressive stint with Delmarva last season.

After struggling in the farm system, the Orioles have added an influx of young talent to get excited about and Sunday’s game was just the beginning.

At just 19 and 20-years-old, Rodriguez and Hall are major building building blocks in the starting rotiation going forward. With the addition of No. 1 overall pick Adley Rutschman, that’s quite the pairing on the mound and behind the plate.

It was just one innings of work, but there’s reason for Orioles fans to be exited about the young talent coming up within the next few years.

Rodriguez and Hall are the prime examples.
