After getting crushed in his last outing, Andrew Cashner redeemed himself Wednesday night in Texas. In his last appearance, Cashner went just 1.2 innings and allowed 10 earned runs.

Cashner’s bounce back performance came in a 5-4 win for Baltimore.

Despite some horrendous defense from the O’s (five errors), Cashner allowed just one earned run (three runs total) over seven innings.

Baltimore struck first as Tim Beckham hit a solo homerun for his second straight game.

Adam Jones followed up with a back-to-back homerun to give the O’s an early 2-0 lead.

The Rays responded with two RBI singles by Jake Bauers and Joey Wendle to tie the game at 2-2.

In the top of the 4th inning, Mark Trumbo roped a homerun to retake a 3-2 lead.

The Rays fought back in the 7th inning after a Beckham error. A sacrifice fly by Michael Perez evened the score at 3-3.

Down 4-3 in the top of the 9th, Trey Mancini hit a two-run double against Sergio Romo as the Orioles came back to win the game 5-4. Over his last 15 games, Mancini has batted .271 with four homers and 10 RBIs.

Although Cashner didn’t get the victory, the solid outing ideally puts him back on track.
