Breaking News: Ravens RB Alex Collins Arrested After Car Crash

By Austin Medina

Ravens running back Alex Collins was arrested Friday morning following a car crash in Owings Mills, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The crash occured just a mile away from the Ravens facilities. Though Collins was arrested, the full charges are still unknown.

Collins was set to become a restriced free agent and, even before the arrest, the Ravens needed many questions to be answered regarding their running back situation.

Collins produced a ton of promise in his first season with Baltimore, as he ran for 973 yards and six touchdowns.

Last season, Collins fell out of the rotation due to injuries and inconsistency. Before being placed on the IR with a foot injury, Collins scored seven touchdowns yet compiled just 411 yards on the ground. The eventual Gus Edwards' replacing saw Collins out of the rotation and now his future in Baltimore is likely over.

With decisions to be made on unrestricted free agent Buck Allen and the ensuing NFL Draft, the Ravens will have many opportunities to move on from Collins following his arrest.
