Bartenders Pub in Baltimore has set a new standard for Orioles fans, as well as drinkers alike.

The bar is offering free shots every time Chris Davis gets a hit, as first reported by Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun.

Co-owner Dana Coke stated "With the team not doing so well, it's affected our business. We just can't seem to do any specials that encourage people to come to the bar and watch baseball with us."

There’s a few problems that customers will face.

First and foremost, Chris Davis hasn’t been hitting. He has a .150 batting average and has just 31 hits on the season. Davis is making just over $21 million this season, which means he’s making $681,000 per hit.

The Orioles are a league-worst 19-48 and Davis’ lack of production has been a huge factor. For his price tag, Davis has underachieved and it’s showing in the loss column.

The idea of Davis getting more hits is great for everyone involved.

It’s great for the Orioles. It’s great for the Bartenders Pub in getting more people in. It’s great for the customers receiving free drinks.

Now all we need is Davis to start earning his contract and getting hits.
