The Baltimore Ravens will lose another veteran on their defense. Linebacker Terrell Suggs will sign with the Arizona Cardinals, per CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

Suggs, 36, played 16 seasons with the Ravens -- generating 132.5 sacks in 229 games played with the team. He won a Super Bowl with the team in 2012. In 2018, Suggs was second on the team in sacks with 7.0 and had a fumble recovery for 43 yards and a touchdown -- the first of his career.

Baltimore drafted linebackers Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams in 2017, signifying a changing of the guard. Between the two players, they've only generated 5.5 sacks in two years. However, both players will have an increased role next season with Za'Darius Smith also becoming a free agent. Smith led the team with 8.5 sacks in 2018.

After cutting safety Eric Weddle on Wednesday and seeing him sign with the Los Angeles Rams, Suggs' departure adds to massive changes taking place in Baltimore's locker room. Inside linebacker C.J. Mosley has also yet to be signed and could command upwards of $13.5 million per year -- which is what one-time linebacker Kwon Alexander received from the San Francisco 49ers. Alexander received a four-year, $54 million contract, with $27 million guaranteed.

Alexander tore his ACL in 2018 after playing only six games. He has missed 20 games in his four-year career against Mosley, who has made the Pro Bowl four times and has only missed three games in five seasons. By comparison, Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly makes about $12.36 million per season.
