Alex Collins Misses Wednesday Practice With Illness

Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins did not practice on Wednesday due to illness.

Collins is a surprise addition to the injury report this week. No details have been provided on the illness but it was enough to keep him out of practice for at least today.

Following a breakout year in 2017, Collins has struggled to find consistency through two games this season. He’s totaled just 48 rushing yards and one touchdown but figures to see more touches on Sunday, assuming he’s healthy.

This could very well be nothing, but something to monitor throughout the final two days of practice this week.

Defensive tackle Michael Pierce did not practice with a foot injury while Ronnie Stanley and Matt Judon were both limited.

Tight end Hayden Hurst and defensive tackle have yet to return to practice. Hurst underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot and Henry had hernia surgery. Neither is expected to play on Sunday and their availability for next week’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers could be in question, per 105.7 Ravens reporter Kyle Andrews.
