Fresh off their first series win of the 2018 season, the Baltimore Orioles have received big news for the starting rotation.

According to Roch Kubatko of MASN, Alex Cobb is slated to make his Orioles debut against the Boston Red Sox Sunday afternoon.

Cobb, 30, was one of the last big-name pitchers off the free agent market this past offseason. He inked a four-year, $60 million deal with the Orioles late last month, giving the starting rotation a much-needed right-handed arm.

After an extended Spring Training stint to gain back his form, Cobb will finally make his long-awaited debut.

Behind Dylan Bundy, the pitching staff has yet to fully establish their presence. The Orioles' starters have combined for just one win through ten games, a number that must improve if the team wants to stay in contention this season.

Coming off a career year in 2017, Cobb will look to do just that for the rotation.
